Instrumentation: String Quartet

Duration: 6–7 Minutes

Description: I explored even further the use of the twelve-tone theory connecting the tone-row changes by the notes shared between hexachords. In this case, I composed a Suite of 5 Argentinian Dances, with their own rhythmic patterns, signature changes, tempo, and musical language, in a serialist framework. The purpose was to showcase the intersection between Western Classical Music and my Argentinian and Latin American culture and influence. Opus Argentino is my first ever string quartet and is an invitation for people to get to know where I come from and  embrace my country’s culture.
