Description: Nacht und Träume is an arrangement of Schubert’s famous lied. Here I added a guitar intro, and dramatically changed the notes and the rhythm of the accompaniment, exploring the opportunities of the tensions available for each chord. The accompaniment for the guitar features legato arpeggios to accompany the soprano melody. This arrangement gives the accompaniment the body, dynamic and presence needed for the instrument to match its solo partner in a variety of acoustic contexts, to unify the voice and guitar together.
